As a nationally recognized facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Zhuravsky treats patients from all over the US and several other countries as well. Below you will find answers to common questions about traveling for plastic surgery, hotels, car rental, and other relevant information for a pleasant stay near our office in beautiful Miami, FL.
We are located in Aventura, a luxurious area in the north eastern part of Miami. This area boasts some of the finest beaches, dining, hotels, attractions, and the famous Aventura Mall, as well as proximity to the Bal Harbour Shops. While patients having surgery may not be able to enjoy the beach, they often report enjoying the area for the sights, food, and shopping as early as 2 days after surgery. Family members and friends are often eager to accompany our patients as they can enjoy all that Miami has to offer.
Once your surgery has been booked and the date set, make sure to arrange for the following:
The necessary medications will be sent to your hometown pharmacy of choice, YOU MUST BRING ALL MEDICATIONS WITH YOU TO SURGERY.
Also, make sure that all the prescriptions were given. Occasionally, pharmacies do not give all the medications, and do not inform the patients. This creates delays and issues on the day of surgery.
Some states do not allow out of state prescriptions for opioids. In such cases, the prescription will be sent to a local pharmacy near our office (see below) and can be picked up either before surgery, or by your caretaker during surgery

If you cannot arrange for a friend or family member to accompany you for at least the first 1 -2 days after surgery, there are specialized services that can provide this care. You will need someone to pick you up after surgery, drive you to your hotel, and stay with you for at least the first day (depending on the procedure).
